We would like to inform you about the current development of our surcharges for the third quarter of 2025 (1 July – 30 September 2025), as outlined below:
Fuel Surcharge
The fuel surcharge for Q3 2025 remains unchanged at 7%.
This figure is based on the fuel price index published by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, which can be accessed here:

The applicable reference period for this calculation is the average fuel index for February to April 2025.Details of all applicable surcharges can be found in our rate enquiry tool.
Rail Energy Surcharge
For Q3 2025, the surcharge will be billed in line with Level 6 of our energy floater scheme.
The specified values apply per TEU and direction of transport. The index for Q3 is based on the average for the months February to April 2025.

Infrastructure Surcharge
The infrastructure surcharge will continue to apply beyond 31 May 2025 and will remain unchanged at EUR 24.00 per TEU and direction for both June and July 2025. This surcharge is assessed on a monthly basis. We will inform you of the applicable rate for August 2025 in due course via a separate circular.
Please note: Due to the full closure of the western section of the Port of Hamburg for rail freight between 4–8 July 2025, a temporary additional surcharge may apply. Should this be the case, you will receive timely information in a separate communication.
