Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
as a matter of routine, we would like to provide you with an overview of current and upcoming events within our rail operations. This includes information from the area of the network operator as well as information from the environment of the connected seaport terminals.
- Overrun of a construction project at the Mannheim marshalling yard, which meant that no shunting movements were possible between Mannheim Rbf and Mannheim Hbf from 10:00 p.m. on November 3, 2025, to 5:00 a.m. on November 4, 2025.
- Closure of the entire Mannheim marshalling yard since November 4 at 6:50 a.m. due to a hazardous material spill. The closure has not yet been lifted.
- The aforementioned restrictions are causing massive disruptions to traffic in Mannheim. There are train cancellations and delays.
- Otherwise, there are ongoing restrictions in the northern, western, central, and southern regional areas. The following points provide a rough overview.
- Disruption on the track between Großen Buseck and Gießen from 7:15 p.m. on November 3, 2025, to 9:51 a.m. on November 4, 2025, resulting in longer travel times.
- Signal disruption between Bad Bevensen and Uelzen from 2:05 a.m. on November 4, 2025, to 4:10 a.m. on November 4, 2025, resulting in longer journey times.
- Ongoing irregularities due to construction work at Dortmung Hauptbahnhof since October 24, 2025, continuing until noon today, resulting in longer travel times.
- Several hours of switch malfunctions between Kirchweyhe – Bremen-Hemelingen and between Gabelung and Sagehorn from 3:25 p.m. on November 3, 2025, until 9:05 p.m. on November 3, 2025.
- Accident involving a person between Hameln and Springe, resulting in closure of the line from 6:05 p.m. on November 3, 2025, until 9:05 p.m. on November 3, 2025.
- Switch failure in Nuremberg from 03.11.2025 8:30 p.m. to 04.11.2025 12:00 p.m., resulting in a diversion around the area with extended journey times.
Due to the circumstances, delays continue to occur at the seaport and inland terminals. These delays have a significant impact on the stability and punctuality of our network. We are making daily efforts to minimize the impact on your bookings as much as possible. Our scheduling department will continue to inform you of any affected bookings on a case-by-case basis. In order to avoid incorrect tours, please check the availability of the loading units before acceptance inland or at the seaport and take our advice notes and order-related information into account.
- Long-term construction work between Nuremberg, Regensburg, and Passau from February 6, 2026, to December 15, 2026. During this period, there will be various diversions with different effects. Trains can only run with 20 carriages on the diversion via Salzburg and with 18 carriages on the diversion via Plattling/Landshut. Delays are to be expected due to the longer distance and increased utilization of the alternative routes. Further restrictions cannot yet be fully predicted. We will inform you separately about these. This mainly affects our services to Hungary.
For the area of seaport terminals, we would like to point out that your cooperation as a potential terminal customer is also urgently desired.
With regard to deadlines, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions. Delivery deadlines or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed. These presuppose unhindered transport conditions on rail and road.
