Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
As a matter of routine, we would like to provide you with an overview of current and upcoming events within our rail operations. This includes information from the area of the network operator as well as information from the environment of the connected seaport terminals.
- Loading delays of more than 6 hours at HHLA Terminal Burchardkai
- Unmanned signal box in Sinn, from 11:00 p.m. on September 25, 2025, to 6:00 a.m. on September 26, 2025; trains were diverted.
- Signal failure lasting several hours between Stadtallendorf and Treysa, resulting in longer journey times
- Hamburg-Maschen since September 25, 2025, 9:30 a.m. Switch malfunction due to track position error, section of track only passable at 20 km/h. Will continue until at least noon on September 29.
- Track position error between Eichenberg and Friedland yesterday and last night, section of track only passable at 50 km/h.
- Nighttime construction work between Bremen and Bremerhaven.
- There were also various smaller construction sites between Hanover and Hamburg.
- Signal box fire on the Magdeburg line near Gerwisch.
- These disruptions not only mean that our trains are running slowly, but also that other trains are backed up in front of the disruption sites. In addition, the alternative routes are overloaded.
- The delays and detours also mean a significant increase in the number of train drivers required. Like truck drivers, they also have limited “driving times.”
- From tonight until Monday morning, i.e., September 26 to September 29, access to the DUSS Ulm-Beimerstetten terminal will be completely closed.
Due to the circumstances, delays continue to occur at the seaport and inland terminals. These delays have a significant impact on the stability and punctuality of our network. We are making daily efforts to minimize the impact on your bookings as much as possible. Our scheduling department will continue to inform you of any affected bookings on a case-by-case basis. In order to avoid incorrect tours, please check the availability of the loading units before acceptance inland or at the seaport and take our advice notes and order-related information into account.
- The following closures are included in our public holiday schedule for German Unity Day: Replacement construction of the Finkenwerder Bridge October 3, 2025 – October 6, 2025, as well as construction work between Bremen and Bremerhaven from October 2, 2025, 7:00 a.m. to October 6, 2025, 8:00 a.m.
- Construction work between Nuremberg, Regensburg, and Passau from February 6, 2025, to December 15, 2026. During this period, there will be various diversions with different effects. Trains will only be able to run with 20 carriages on the diversion via Salzburg and with 18 waggons on the diversion via Plattling/Landshut.
For the area of seaport terminals, we would like to point out that your cooperation as a potential terminal customer is also urgently desired.
