We are writing in reference to our information letter dated June 18, 2026, regarding the North and South Fulda construction project.
As previously announced in our most recent newsletters on the current situation in rail traffic, there will be significant service disruptions in the area Fulda from July 11, 2026 through July 30, 2026. In addition to information regarding the operational impacts, we have now also been informed of the financial implications of these construction measures, which were announced on short notice.
Due to the resulting operational train cancellations on the routes between German seaports and Munich, Nuremberg, Ulm, and Kornwestheim vice versa, additional costs of EUR 24.00 per TEU per direction will apply from July 11, 2026 through July 30, 2026.
For the duration of the construction work, EUROGATE Intermodal will pass these costs on to you in the form of a temporary surcharge on the routes listed.Please take these additional costs into account even for transport orders that have already been booked.
The surcharge will not be listed separately on the invoice; unfortunately, this is not possible for technical reasons.
