This includes information from the area of the network operator as well as information from the environment of the connected seaport terminals.

Overhead line failure in Hamburg-Harburg beginning on June 18, 2026, at 7:32 a.m. Initial estimate for repair completion: by 12:00 p.m. on June 18, 2026; second estimate: 5:00 p.m. on June 18, 2026. The damage was finally repaired on June 19, 2026, at 2:10 a.m. During this period, the entire Hamburg West Harbor (Waltershof) was cut off from train service; all trains bound for Hamburg were turned back on the tracks, and trains on the Hamburg rail network were unable to depart.

Route congestion in the Hanover-Wunstorf area due to the well-known construction projects, such as the Hamburg-Hanover Quality Initiative, and due to the refusal of trains bound for Hamburg.

Fire department response in Bremen-Sebaldsbrück from June 19, 2026, at 3:52 a.m. until at least the morning of June 19, 2026; resulting in a detour and extended travel time

Point failure in Hanau from June 18, 2026, at 4:20 p.m. until June 18, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., resulting in a detour and extended travel time

Police operation in Wunstorf from June 18, 2026, 6:41 p.m. to June 18, 2026, 9:00 p.m.; resulting in extended travel time due to driving on sight.

Train from another rail carrier stranded due to locomotive damage, June 18, 2026, 6:20 p.m. to June 18, 2026, 8:30 p.m.; result: travel time extension due to downtime caused by hose-filling operations on the opposite track.

Track length restriction to 500m for EUROKOMBI and a 6-hour loading delay.

No truck handling at EUROKOMBI from June 18, 2026, through June 23, 2026, due to the collapse of a gantry crane.

Damage to the overhead lines caused by a lightning strike from 5:52 a.m. on June 19, 2026, through 10:14 a.m. on June 19, 2026, in Lauenbrück. Result: Line closure; no train service to or from Hamburg. Double-track operation resumed at 8:45 a.m., and regular service was gradually restored.

Dispositive inflow control in Hamburg has been in effect since March 10, 2026. Trains are sometimes denied entry into the Hamburg rail network.

Dispositive inflow control has also been in effect in Bremerhaven since May 10, 2026. Trains were denied entry yesterday, primarily due to the aforementioned fire.

Please note that the times listed refer only to the time it takes to resolve the disruption. It always takes considerably longer for the backlog of waiting trains to clear.

Due to the circumstances, delays continue to occur at the seaport and inland terminals. These delays have a significant impact on the stability and punctuality of our network. We are making daily efforts to minimize the impact on your bookings as much as possible. Our scheduling department will continue to inform you of any affected bookings on a case-by-case basis. In order to avoid incorrect tours, please check the availability of the loading units before acceptance inland or at the seaport and take our advice notes and order-related information into account.

Last-minute update regarding another construction project that will significantly impact travel times. We were notified after the agreed-upon deadlines about a construction project in Fulda, one of the main routes we use. The construction project will take place in two phases. The so-called “Nordkopf” will be closed from June 26, 2026, to July 10, 2026. A detour is available for traffic, but significant delays are expected along the route.

During the second phase, the “Südkopf” section will be closed from July 11, 2026, to July 30, 2026. There is currently no satisfactory alternative; of the approximately 200 trains affected, about 50% are expected to be canceled. Furthermore, the approved trains do not align with each other. An appeal has been filed regarding this matter. The outcome is still uncertain. Nearly all services are affected.

Long-term construction work between Nuremberg – Regensburg – Passau from February 6, 2026 to December 15, 2026. Further restrictions cannot yet be fully predicted. We will inform you separately about these. This mainly affects our services to Hungary.

For the area of seaport terminals, we would like to point out that your cooperation as a potential terminal customer is also urgently desired.

With regard to deadlines, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions.
