As previously announced in our \u201cCurrent Situation in Rail Operations\u201d newsletters, extensive construction work has been underway on the Nuremberg\u2013Regensburg\u2013Passau route since the beginning of February 2026.<\/p>\n
Consequently, we have been rerouting our trains to and from Budapest via Landshut\/Plattling since then.<\/p>\n
From June 12, 2026, through July 11, 2026, this detour will temporarily no longer be available due to construction work, so we will have to reroute our trains via Salzburg.<\/p>\n
From July 12, 2026, through September 16, 2026, our trains are expected to be able to run via Landshut\/Plattling again.<\/p>\n
Starting September 17, 2026, through the 2026\/2027 timetable change, we will once again have to switch to the route via Salzburg.<\/p>\n
In addition to the extra time required, this detour also entails additional costs due to the longer route, as well as restrictions on train length.<\/p>\n
